LOS ANGELES, April 26 (UPI) — Dakota Johnson hopes the success of “Fifty Shades of Grey” will lead to a long-lasting and meaningful career in film.

The 26-year-old actress discussed her future in the movie industry in the May issue of Interview magazine, admitting she’s still finding her way despite the popularity of “Fifty Shades.”

“I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing,” Johnson confessed. “Like, I’m unsure of what my life will be like. I mean, I have such an obsession with making movies that I probably will always do that.”

“But sometimes my life can feel so suffocating, and then it can feel so massive, like I don’t have a handle on it all, and I don’t know where it’s going or what I’m going to do,” she qualified. “Right now, I’m known for making movies. And I wonder if that’s it.”

Johnson played Anastasia Steele in “Fifty Shades of Grey” and will reprise the role in “Fifty Shades Freed” and “Fifty Shades Darker.” The film earned a whopping $571 million at the box office, but Johnson isn’t convinced her success will last.

“It seems like the world is so fast to move its interest to someone else,” the actress said. “When I think about filmmakers and actresses that I have admired my whole life, I’ve admired their entire body of work. I have admired what they began with and what they’re doing now.”

“And now I feel like there’s such a weird pressure to find the new face,” she explained. “I don’t get it at all. I want to see women evolve. I want to see a body of work. I want to see all of it.”

Johnson and Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, are now filming “Fifty Shades Darker,” which opens in theaters Feb. 10, 2017. The actress previously told British Vogue she is grateful for “Fifty Shades” and unconcerned with being pigeon-holed.

“I’m proud of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,'” she said. “I don’t need to distance myself from that. The more work I do, the more the general public sees the different things I can do. Do I think it opened doors? Yeah, More people know my name.”

Johnson last starred in “How to Be Single” with Rebel Wilson and will next appear in “A Bigger Splash” with Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton. She will also star with Swinton in the forthcoming thriller Suspiria.
