PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 24 (UPI) — Greyhound Gia has won Best in Show at the “National Dog Show” in Philadelphia.

The top dog is expected to appear on Friday’s edition of the “Today” show.

Good Time Charlie, a Skye Terrier, was last year’s winner of the Kennel Club of Philadelphia competition.

John O’Hurley served as host of the event on NBC Thursday, while David Frei, an American Kennel Club-licensed judge and former host of USA Network’s “Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show,” offered expert analysis.

“For 15 years, the ‘National Dog Show Presented by Purina’ has been at the forefront of the purebred dog world,” O’Hurley said in a statement when his involvement was announced earlier this month. “I’m proud to be a part of a legacy that celebrates such a rich history.”
