NEW YORK, Jan. 4 (UPI) — Music superstar Gwen Stefani is the new face of Revlon beauty.
The cosmetics company announced in a press release Tuesday that the 47-year-old singer will serve as a global brand ambassador for its “Choose Love” campaign.
“We are thrilled that Gwen Stefani will be representing Revlon as a Global Brand Ambassador,” Revlon president Fabian Garcia said in a statement.
“Gwen is a modern-day icon: a Grammy-winning artist, a trendsetter, an entrepreneur and loving mother,” he lauded. “The versatility of these accomplishments demonstrates her message of female empowerment, one that strongly resonates across generations of fans.”
Stefani will star in Revlon’s new “Choose Love” ads, which are slated to debut in late January. She said in a statement that partnering with “an iconic beauty brand such as Revlon felt like a natural fit.”
“Ever since I was a young girl, I have used makeup as a form of self-expression. I am passionate about makeup and how it can showcase your individuality and creativity,” the star shared. “I am so excited to continue sharing my love of makeup as a Revlon Global Brand Ambassador.”
“Love has been a muse for my songwriting,” she added. “Revlon’s Choose Love message is an important one, and I am very excited for the opportunity to partner with Revlon and continue spreading this message of positivity and love.”
Stefani’s signature look consists of her platinum blonde hair, cat eye makeup and red lipstick. She partnered with Urban Decay on a colorful limited-edition cosmetics collection in 2015.
