MALIBU, Calif., Oct. 24 (UPI) — Screen icon and helicopter pilot Harrison Ford made an unexpected landing at the site of a Malibu wedding and posed for a photo with the surprised bride and groom.
“The reception was about to be held in the same area where they allow choppers to land,” an onlooker told Us Weekly about Ford’s visit to the Saddlerock Ranch.
The publication did not say exactly when the incident happened.
The 73-year-old Star Wars actor was seriously hurt and hospitalized in March when the engine on the small aircraft he was flying failed, causing him to crash on a golf course, however he was reportedly back in the air by May.
Ford was in the news earlier this week when he appeared in the trailer for the eagerly awaited movie Star War Episode VII: The Force Awakens. The YouTube clip has been viewed nearly 44 million times in five days.
