LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4 (UPI) — Heather Locklear responded to new rehab reports Tuesday by saying she’s “working on tying up some loose ends.”

The 55-year-old actress issued a statement to E! News after rumors surfaced this week that she recently entered rehab for the fifth time.

“I am feeling great and taking steps to enrich and better my life,” the star said. “Currently I am working on tying up some loose ends regarding certain issues so I can hit 2017 full steam ahead.”

Radar Online had reported Monday that Locklear checked herself into rehab after having a “massive breakdown” over the holidays. She is reportedly seeking treatment at the Cliffside Malibu rehab center.

The “Melrose Place” alum has struggled with drug and alcohol abuse issues for years. Most recently, she was hospitalized in January 2012 after allegedly mixing prescription drugs and alcohol.

Locklear is known for playing Amanda Woodward on “Melrose Place” and Caitlin Moore on “Spin City.” She presently portrays the first lady on Tyler Perry‘s TLC series, “Too Close to Home,” which airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
