LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 (UPI) — Brooklyn-born television and film actor Abe Vigoda died under hospice care Tuesday. He was 94.
TMZ confirmed his death, noting it had prematurely been reported numerous times dating back to 1982.
Vigoda is best known for his work in the TV sitcoms Barney Miller and Fish, as well as in the first two Godfather movies, and the big-screen comedies Joe Versus the Volcano and Look Who’s Talking.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Vigoda Fuchs, and was predeceased by his wife Beatrice Schy in 1992.
