Jamie Bell’s Thing Is All Over The Internet
HOLLYWOOD, CA – April 9, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) Comic book fans are catching their first glimpse of the new take on a classic Marvel character, as Empireonline has released photos of the all new c.g.i. version of “The Thing” from director Josh Trank’s “Fatastic Four” reboot.
Jamie Bell plays Ben Grimm, the man who is transformed into the Thing, and he donned a motion capture suit to play the role and to give The Thing Bell’s personality and mannerisms (the same approach was used for Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.) .
The new look is substantially different from the rubber suit that Michael Chiklis wore in the two films last decade.
“Jamie in real life is a tough guy,” Trank told Empire recently. “He exudes this strength. Ben is Reed’s (Reed Richards, A.K.A. Mr. Fantastic) best friend in the archetypal, spiritual way, and you want that character to have that warmth and that strength.”
“Fantastic Four” is due in theaters August 7, 2015.
