Jason Momoa in talks to star in ‘The Crow’ remake

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 (UPI) — Jason Momoa, who is adding ‘superhero’ to his resume thanks to his portrayal of Aquaman in the upcoming “Justice League” and the “Aquaman” standalone film, is poised to play another kind of superhero.

Momoa is reportedly in talks to star as Eric Draven in Corin Hardy’s remake of the 1994 cult classic “The Crow.”

The Crow follows Draven as he returns from the dead seeking vengeance on the people who murdered his fiance. The original film starred Brandon Lee as Draven and served as Lee’s last film following his accidental on-set shooting death.

Earlier this week, Momoa posted a picture to Instagram of him sharing drinks with Hardy along with the hashtags #sealthedeal, #cantwaittotelltheworld, and #dreamjob.

The remake has been in development for years, but floundered along with Relativity Media’s financial woes.

Ryan Kavanaugh, co-CEO of Relativity, shared Momoa’s picture with the caption “the future is bright.”
