LOS ANGELES, May 26, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Nancy Dow, former actress and the mother of actress Jennifer Aniston, has passed away. She was 79.
According to reports, Dow had suffered from a series of strokes and had lost the ability to speak and walk.
In Touch Magazine reports Dow’s death came two weeks after Aniston visited Dow. The women had a falling out when Dow published a tell-all book in 1999 titled “From Mother and Daughter to Friends: A Memoir.”
Aniston put their differences aside in 2011, when Dow suffered a stroke in Los Angeles.
According to an article in The Hollywood Reporter, Aniston said Dow was “very critical.”
“Because she was a model, she was gorgeous, stunning. I wasn’t. I never was. I honestly still don’t think of myself in that sort of light, which is fine,” she explained.
Dow, a Connecticut native, only has five acting credits to her IMDB page, including appearances on the ’60s television shows “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “The Wild Wild West.”
She married soap actor John Aniston in 1965, and the pair divorced when Jennifer was 9 years old.
