LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – October 6, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Cathriona White was married at the time of her death.
ET On line is reporting the coroner’s office is still in possession of White’s body, which will not be released until it is picked up by her next of kin, her husband, for repatriation to her native country of Ireland.
The identity of her husband will not be revealed until he arrives; however, it is not actor Jim Carrey, whom White had dated on and off for three years before her death.
Meanwhile, the investigation surrounding White’s death continues. The coroner’s office told ET Online in a statement that an autopsy has been completed and that a cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology results.
Sources are saying some of the pills White might have consumed allegedly belonged to Carrey. The late photographer may have taken them from the actor’s home without his knowledge, as The Hollywood Reporter first reported.
White was found dead of an apparent suicide in her home the evening of Monday, Sept. 28. Several notes were found at the scene, including one addressed to Carrey.
Following the news of White’s death, her family released a statement to the Irish Independent.
“The family of Cathriona White sincerely regret the untimely passing of their beloved daughter and sister,” they said. “Cathriona was a shining light in our lives who was loved deeply by her entire family. We will miss her terribly and at this difficult time we ask to be left in private to mourn our loss.”
“She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled,” Carrey told ET in a statement on Tuesday, Sept. 30. “My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her.”
