Joe Alaskey, The Voice Of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck Dies at 63

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — TMZ is reporting Joe Alaskey, who voiced legendary cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Sylvester the Cat, has died from cancer at the age of 63.

Alaskey’s family announced the news of the voice actor’s death in a statement posted on Facebook.

Alaskey spoke for other Looney Tunes characters as well, including Marvin the Martian and Foghorn Leghorn.

Alaskey, who was a successor of voice actor Mel Blanc at Warner Brothers, won an Emmy award in 2004 for his portrayal of Daffy on the series “Duck Dodgers.”

Alaskey also voiced Grandpa Pickles on Rugrats and was most recently featured on Investigation Discovery’s “Murder Comes To Town.”

Among Alaskey’s last credits were Droopy on “Tom and Jerry” and Green Loontern in “Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.”
