June 1 (UPI) — Joe Jonas and his band DNCE went undercover as Lyft drivers in the latest edition of “Undercover Lyft.”
The comedic Lyft promo released Wednesday featured DNCE’s lead singer Joe Jonas picking up passengers while sometimes using a disguise and pseudonyms such as Tom and Rick before the rest of his bandmates — including Jack Lawless, JinJoo Lee and Cole Whittle — also enter his vehicle.
One passenger told Jonas she was going through a “break-up” with her job, to which the pop star replied with a reference to his former band with siblings Nick and Kevin.
“Oh I was in a band, we broke up and that was similar you know,” Jonas said.
Another passenger said her driver resembles Jonas, and the 27-year-old replied that he gets “that all the time, it’s ridiculous.”
After DNCE listened to their single “Kissing Strangers” and shared their love of Hawaiian shirts, the group revealed their identities, much to the passengers’ surprise.
Previous episodes of “Undercover Lyft” have featured celebrities that include Demi Lovato and Shaquille O’Neal.
