NEW YORK, September 5, 2015 — (UPI) — Kathleen Turner is to star in the world-premiere, Off-Broadway production of Would You Still Love Me If.

Billed as “a love story that tackles the issue of transgender identity,” the play will co-star Deborah Cox, Rebecca Brooksher and Sofia Jean Gomez.

Nona Gerard will direct the production, which begins previews Sept. 26. Penned by John S. Anastasi, the play will have its official opening on Oct. 10.

It follows Danya and Addison, “caring, intelligent young women with a promising future and a baby on the way, but there’s a lifelong secret that threatens to destroy all they hold dear — prompting the profound question…why do we love who we love?”
