Leonardo DiCaprio, ‘The Revenant’ Win Big At The British Academy Film Awards

LONDON, Feb. 14 (UPI) — The Revenant was the big winner at the British Academy Film Awards ceremony in London Sunday.

The survival tale was named Best Picture and its star, Leonardo DiCaprio, Best Actor. Alejandro G. Inarritu was named Best Director for helming the movie, which also earned the prize for Best Cinematography.

Brooklyn was declared Best British Film, Amy Best Documentary and Inside Out Best Animated Movie.

Brie Larson scored the Best Actress honor for Room, Mark Rylance won Best Supporting Actor for Bridge of Spies and Kate Winslet went home with the statuette for Best Supporting Actress for Steve Jobs.

Spotlight garnered the award for Best Original Screenplay and The Big Short won the prize for Best Adapted Screenplay.
