Lindsay Lohan Fails to Complete Community Service, May Face Arrest
LOS ANGELES, May 7 (UPI) — Lindsay Lohan may be doing well in London, but back at home the star is facing some serious legal setbacks.
The 28-year-old actress is expected in California on Thursday to attend a court hearing regarding her probation progress report.
TMZ reports that she has completed less than 20 of the additional 125 community service hours allotted to her earlier this year.
Lohan posted an Instagram photo Tuesday of a stack of files in what seems to be an office, writing that she was completing some of her community service hours. At her last hearing, the judge refused to accept some of her service claims — which led to the extra 125 hours.
“There were things that she did that didn’t qualify as community service,” Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White told People Magazine in February.
The judge at Thursday’s hearing may issue a warrant for Lohan’s arrest if her representatives fail to convince the court of dismissing the remaining hours. But the actress can avoid such a fate by simply staying in London, which she reportedly loves.
Lohan received probation and 240 initial hours of community service after pleading no-contest to reckless driving in a 2012 car crash in California.
