BRISTOL, U.K, Jan. 17, 2017, (UPI) — “Game of Thrones” standout Maisie Williams is to lend her voice to a character in Aardman Animations’ prehistoric comedy-adventure “Early Man.”

The movie is filming now in Bristol, England.

Williams will play Goona, “the gallant and indomitable rebel who befriends the film’s hero Dug, [played by Eddie Redmayne,] and helps steer him through the clash of the Stone Age and Bronze Age civilizations,” the studio explained in a press release.

“Maisie is a terrific actress, and she is, of course, no stranger to embodying a valiant heroine. I’m most excited to see her breathe life into Goona — I know she’ll be the perfect ally to Eddie’s Dug,” director Nick Park said.

“I’m a huge Aardman fan — having the chance to work with Nick Park is a dream come true, especially as I get to voice such a fantastic character as Goona. I can’t wait for audiences to meet her,” Williams added.

This is the first feature film Park has directed since 2005’s “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.”
