Maria Bamford to Star in Netflix Series “Lady Dynamite”
BEVERLY HILLS , Calif., June 20 (UPI) — Netflix says it has ordered 13 episodes of Lady Dynamite, a single-camera comedy series starring Maria Bamford.
Bamford will also executive produce the program, along with Pam Brady and Mitch Hurwitz.
“Series is based on what she has accepted to be ‘her life,'” a news release said.
“The occasionally surreal episodes, refracted across multiple periods inspired by the actor/comedian’s life, tell the story of a woman who loses — and then finds — her [expletive.]”
