June 6 (UPI) — Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg celebrated this weekend his first birthday since losing his mother, Alma, last month.

On Saturday, the day Wahlberg turned 50, he posted on Facebook a photo of him and his mother from decades ago.

It was captioned, “Missing my mom today.”

On Sunday, he gave an update on how his family recognized his milestone birthday.

“Nothing more important than family. My big sister Tracey made sure that my birthday was special the way my mom always did. I love you so much!” he captioned a brief video, showing a house with the words, “Happy Birthday,” spelled out on the lawn.

Wahlberg and his actor/singer brother, Donnie, announced in May that Alma had died at the age of 78 after a battle with dementia.

The mother of 12 co-starred in the reality TV series, “Wahlburgers,” for 10 seasons 2014-19.

The show chronicled the family business, a popular chain of casual dining restaurants.

Mark will next be seen in the sci-fi movie, “Infinite,” which will begin streaming on Paramount+ Thursday.
