LOS ANGELES, April 14 (UPI) — Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have made their official social media debut.
The 29-year-old actresses and designers posted a first-ever public selfie Wednesday on Sephora’s Instagram to promote their Elizabeth and James fragrances, Nirvana White and Nirvana Black.
The Olsen twins were doing an Elizabeth and James “takeover” of the Sephora account when they shared the black-and-white photo. They also posted a “beauty goals” collage, handbag samples and their healthy salads for lunch.
“First and last day as official Instagrammers #cheers #MyNirvana @ElizAndJames #SephoraTakeover,” the sisters wrote.
The Olsens have social media accounts for their various ventures but no personal accounts. The pair are notoriously private, with Ashley once telling Vogue Twitter “gives [her] so much anxiety.”
“We’ve spent our whole lives trying to not let people have that accessibility, so it would go against everything we’ve done in our lives to not be in the public,” Mary-Kate added in the interview.
The Olsen twins launched Elizabeth and James in 2007 and also oversee The Row, Olsenboye and StyleMint.
The sisters haven’t appeared on film or TV in years, though John Stamos hopes they will reprise Michelle Tanner in Season 2 of “Fuller House.”
