LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (UPI) —Melissa McCarthy recently modeled her new, holiday clothing line.The 45-year-old actress proudly sported pieces from the collection for festive ads featured on her website..McCarthy launched her Melissa McCarthy Seven7 collection in September, and told People she still hopes to incorporate her clothes onto “regular” floors of department stores..”I know what’s it’s like not being able to go shopping with my friends because ‘women like me’ have been hidden away on a different store next to the tire section,” the star said.
“There’s no need for those divisions to be there. It’s shaming, it’s categorizing and it’s just unnecessary.”
McCarthy, who rejects the label “plus-size,” created her line for women of all body types and sizes. She previously told HSN she intended her collection to make “getting dressed fun again” and help women “discover their own personal style.”
“I believe that women deserve better choices,” she said. “Fashion should help us express our individual personalities. Clothes should flatter our bodies, and not just try to cover us up. Shopping should never ever make us feel badly about ourselves.”

McCarthy plays Molly Flynn on CBS sitcom Mike & Molly, which will return for a sixth season Jan. 6. The actress is also slated for Cook-Off! with husband Ben Falcone, The Boss with Kristen Bell and Ghostbusters with Kristen Wiig.
