Feb. 9 (UPI) — Miranda Lambert gets a makeover in her newly-released video for “We Should Be Friends.”

The 33-year-old country star shared a music video Thursday for the single, which appears on her latest album, “The Weight of These Wings.”

The lighthearted and colorful video sees Lambert and her dog treat themselves to a new hairdo at a small-town salon. Trey Fanjoy directed the video, with appearances by songwriters Natalie Hemby and Waylon Payne.

“We should be friends! (We are friends!) The video is out today! #weshouldbefriends,” Lambert tweeted to her 6.2 million followers.

“Thanks @fanjoy for killing it yet again. I love this video and I love you. #weshouldbefriends #wearefriends #bestvideodirectorever,” she added.

Lambert released “The Weight of These Wings” in November, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and also includes the single “Vice.” Fanjoy directed the music video for “Vice,” along with “Little Red Wagon” and “Something Bad.”
