NASHVILLE, Aug. 21 (UPI) — Country singer Miranda Lambert has revealed her new platinum blonde look after split from fellow country singer Blake Shelton on Instagram Thursday.
The platinum style is in direct reference to the title single on her new album Platinum.
The new look was credited to stylist Lee Wright and Nashville’s Style House Salon who also got a shout-out on Instagram.
“Thanks @leewright_hairstylist and @stylehousesalon for the new do! #platinum #blondeshavemorefun.”
This change in appearance comes after the much publicized divorce between Lambert and her ex-husband, country-singer Blake Shelton. The couple released a statement saying, ‘This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”
The former couple had been together since 2006, and married in May 2011. Lambert released her fifth studio album, Platinum, in June 2014 and will kick off the third leg of her accompanying tour Sept. 25, while Shelton last debuted Bringing Back the Sunshine in August 2014.
