NBC’s hit show Hannibal may have millions of viewers’ but it is still not being aired on KSL5, the NBC affiliate in Salt Lake City.

According to the station’s owner, Bonneville International, aka the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the prime time show is simply “too graphic” for the Utah audience.

KSL has reaffirmed its stance, announcing the third season of Hannibal will air Saturday nights on Salt Lake’s City’s CW affiliate, which is owned by Nexstar.

KSL’s original decision not to air Hannibal was made when the show debuted back in 2013.  It’s aired on CW ever since.

Richard Doutre’ Jones, GM for KUCW told TVSPY his station is delighted to carry Hannibal.

“Hannibal is a riveting program,” Doutre’ Jones  said, “and we believe it is ‘Good4Utah’ to allow Utah viewers the opportunity to make their own choice on whether they want to watch it .”
