LONDON, April 14 (UPI) — Nick Jonas shared details about his less-than-ideal first kiss on Wednesday’s episode of “The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw.”
The 23-year-old actor recalled the smooch during the BBC radio show’s School Run segment, revealing his first kiss took place with Miley Cyrus outside a California Pizza Kitchen.
“The first person I kissed was Miley Cyrus,” the star confirmed. “I kissed her outside of California Pizza Kitchen in Hollywood. Very romantic, except I had just eaten a pizza that had onions all over it. So I’m sure that my breath smelled terrible.”
Jonas and Cyrus met through the Disney Channel and dated as teenagers from 2006 to 2007. The actor previously shared his favorite memory of the 23-year-old singer in an interview with Capital FM last year.
“It feels like so long ago! You’re talking like ten years ago,” he said. “We went on tour together, that was pretty amazing and it was a really big tour and got a great response, so that, probably.”
Jonas has since dated actress Samantha Barks and Miss USA 2012 Olivia Culpo, and was linked to actress Kate Hudson earlier this year. The actor wore a purity ring for several years before revealing he was no longer a virgin in 2014.
“Without a full understanding of what [my brothers and I] were stepping into, we all made this commitment,” Jonas recently explained of his eventual decision to take off the ring.
Cyrus, meanwhile, is dating actor Liam Hemsworth, whom she previously split from in 2013. The couple attended the Los Angeles premiere of “The Huntsman: Winter’s War” this week amid rumors their engagement is back on.
