BIRMINGHAM, England, September 4, 2015 — (UPI) — Legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath announced their farewell tour dates for 2016 Thursday, the final times the band will ever perform.

Entitled The End Tour, Ozzy Osbourne and company will kick off their final performances in Omaha Neb. on Jan. 20. The North American tour will continue on for 17 more dates before culminating on Feb. 25 at New York’s Madison Square Garden. From there the band will tour internationally in Australia and New Zealand. Back Sabbath does however promise more dates will be added in October.

“When this tour concludes, it will truly be THE END,” the official press release states.

The farewell tour will feature Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler but not drummer Bill Ward. In a Facebook post from April, Ward commented that it would take a “singable contract” in order to “(move) one step toward a pathway that could lead to us all playing together again.”

The announcement coincides with what Osbourne told Billboard back in April about recording one last album and starting up one last tour. So far, a new album has yet to be announced.
