May 3 (UPI) — Aspiring actress Paris Jackson will make her feature film debut in a forthcoming thriller.

The 19-year-old daughter of late singer Michael Jackson will star with David Oyelowo in a new Amazon Studios movie directed by Nash Edgerton, her representative confirmed to USA Today.

Deadline reported Jackson will play Nelly, “an edgy 20-year-old,” with Oyelowo as Harold, “a mild-mannered” businessman-turned-criminal. The film will follow Harold as he “tangles” with his business partners, drug lords and international mercenaries.

Edgerton’s brother, Joel Edgerton, Amanda Seyfried, Charlize Theron and Thandie Newton will co-star. Nash Edgerton, who directed the 2008 movie “The Square,” will produce with Theron, Rebecca Yeldham, Anthony Tambakis, Beth Kono and A.J. Dix.

Jackson made her acting debut on the Fox series Star in March, and landed a contract with IMG Models the same month. Sources previously told “Entertainment Tonight” the star is “pursuing her creative interests.”

“Paris is in a very happy place … and feels like this is finally her time,” an insider said. “She wants to try modeling, acting and has been songwriting. She is grateful for the opportunities ahead.”
