June 8 (UPI) — Bride-to-be Peta Murgatroyd went cake tasting Wednesday ahead of her upcoming wedding.
The 30-year-old Australian dancer sampled several “incredible” cakes from pastry chef Daniel Andreotti weeks before her nuptials to Maksim Chmerkovskiy at Oheka Castle in New York.
Murgatroyd met Andreotti at the venue and documented her visit on Instagram Stories. She shared a photo of herself and Andreotti standing in front of four elaborate cakes, including one with nine gold and red layers.
“With the man himself Daniel Andreotti,” she captioned the picture.
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy got engaged in December 2015 after meeting as pros on Dancing with the Stars. The couple welcomed son Shai Aleksander in January.
“We broke tradition by having a baby before marriage,” Murgatroyd told People in May. “But I think it’s amazing that he’ll be there … I think that he’s going to be carried down the aisle by a family member.”
“I love that he’ll be able to look back at the photos and he’s in the photos and partaking in the sharing of our love for each other. I can’t wait for that,” she added.
Murgatroyd previously confessed in an interview with People that she “tried” to put her wedding to Chmerkovskiy on hold after welcoming Shai. She and Chmerkovskiy will tie the knot in a two-day celebration in July.
“It was really funny, actually. He had to sort of coax me back into being ready to get married and do all of this stuff because there is so much to do!” the new mom said.
