July 8 (UPI) — South Korean girl group Red Velvet teased a colorful music video for their single “Red Flavor” this week.
The K-pop stars shared a promo for the song Friday following word they will perform at their first solo concert in August.
“Red Flavor” appears on the group’s forthcoming EP, ‘Red Summer.’ The teaser plays on the album’s summer theme, with Irene as watermelon, Yeri as grape, Joy as kiwi, Seulgi as pineapple and Wendy as orange.
“The Red Summer” includes the songs “Red Flavor,” “You Better Know,” “Zoo,” “Mojito” and “Hear the Sea,” and will debut online July 9. SM Entertainment said last week that the EP “will show off the group’s vivacious charm and energy.”
The Chosun Ilbo reported Thursday that Red Velvet will hold their first solo concerts Aug. 19 and 20 in Seoul. The group is known for their singles “Ice Cream Cake” and “Dumb Dumb,” and released their debut studio album, “The Red,” in September 2015.
