NEW YORK, Sept. 24 (UPI) — Actress Glenn Close and her husband, business executive and venture capitalist David Shaw have split according to reports.
“The divorce was mutual, a rep for Close told E! News.
This is the third marriage for the 68-year-old star who has been together with Shaw for nine years after their wedding in 2006.
Close was previously married to songwriter Cabot Wade in 1969 and James Marlas in 1984.
“Glenn and David have been telling friends over the summer they are divorcing, and he’ll remain living in Maine while Glenn moves back to New York full-time,” a source told The New York Post. “They’ve been separated for some time, and things are amicable between them.”
The six-time Oscar nominee is now reportedly returning to New York in order to focus on her career. Close will be reuniting with actor John Malkovich in Wide Wedding which starts shooting this month. The actress will also be making a return to the stage when she reprises the role of Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard at the London Colosseum in April.
