LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) — Vin Diesel recently enlisted Ronda Rousey to train his elder daughter in judo.

The 48-year-old actor, born Mark Sinclar, revealed as much in an interview with WENN. Vin Diesel explained he asked the 28-year-old MMA fighter to teach his 7-year-old daughter Hania the Japanese martial art so she can protect herself.

“I’ve been thinking about this since the day I cut the umbilical cord,” the star said. “I made a decision early on that I was going to to everything in my power to empower her to handle herself.”

“Because of her auntie Ronda Rousey she is now an orange belt with stripes in judo,” he shared. “I’m dealing with it early. I’m creating a beast and I want her to be able to say no means no.”

Vin Diesel is also father to 5-year-old son Vincent and 7-month old daughter Pauline with longtime partner Paloma Jimenez. He and the 32-year-old model have been together since 2007, and named Pauline after his late The Fast and the Furious co-star, Paul Walker.

Vin Diesel and Rousey co-starred in Furious 7 this year, and the actor will next appear in The Last Witch Hunter with Rose Leslie. Rousey is the current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, and slated for the movie Mile 22 with Mark Wahlberg.
