Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn and Rachael Taylor join Netflix’s Marvel ensemble ‘The Defenders’

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (UPI) — Netflix has announced that Marvel series regulars Rosario Dawson, Scott Glenn and Rachael Taylor will appear in their upcoming superhero ensemble series, “The Defenders.”

Announced on Twitter Wednesday alongside a promotional clip featuring the trio of stars, Dawson is set to reprise her role as nurse Claire Temple while Glenn will be returning as Daredevil’s blind sensei Stick with Taylor once again showing up as Jessica Jones’ adopted sister Trish Walker.

“Old friendships die hard,” Netflix wrote alongside the announcement video which also proclaims, “Those who surround us, define us.”

Dawson, Glenn and Taylor join a growing cast which also includes other stars from Netflix’s Marvel line including Elden Henson as Daredevil’s best friend Foggy Nelson, Simone Missick as Luke Cage’s partner detective Misty Knight, Carrie Anne Moss as attorney Hogarth who worked with Jessica Jones and Jessica Jones’ neighbor Malcolm played by Eka Darville.

“The Defenders,” which is scheduled to appear on Netflix following the premiere of Iron Fist, will bring together the streaming service’s collection of Marvel heroes including Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) in order to take on a common enemy played bySigourney Weaver.

Jon Bernthal, who portrays The Punisher in the shared television universe, is also rumored to be making an appearance.
