LOS ANGELES, March 8 (UPI) — Actress Sarah Paulson says she and O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark drank shots of tequila when they met to discuss the miniseries based on Clark’s most infamous case.
Paulson plays Clark on FX’s “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” which chronicles the racially charged trial that ended in Simpson’s acquittal of double homicide in 1995.
“I drank a lot of tequila with [Clark,]” Paulson said with a smile on Tuesday’s edition of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“That must have been fun,” DeGeneres remarked.
“It was really fun! It was like the mole kept moving all over her face in my mind,” Paulson recalled. “I was like: ‘Is that you? Oh, now, it’s on your forehead. What’s happening?’ It was a lot of tequila.”
Paulson admitted she had been very excited about the meeting and geeked out when she first saw the high-profile lawyer and author.
“It was like seeing someone I had idolized or had a terrible crush on for my whole life or something,” she confessed. “She walked into the restaurant and I just started [squealing] and she sort of looked around like this was a very sort of terrifying experience for her.”
