Shannon Beador Blamed Her Looks for Husband’s Affair
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – July 23, 2015 — (UPI) — Shannon Beador initially blamed her appearance for husband David Beador’s affair.
The 50-year-old reality star addressed her spouse’s infidelity in an interview with People on Tuesday. Beador revealed her husband was unfaithful on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 10 premiere in June.
“I gained the weight after I found out about the affair, but I think in a wacky way, subconsciously, when I looked at myself in the mirror and I saw that I’d kind of let myself go a bit, I said, ‘Well, this is why,'” she shared. “Even though the [weight gain] happened after.”
Beador and her spouse have been married 14 years, and are parents to 13-year-old daughter Sophie and 10-year-old twin daughter Stella and Adeline. The couple stayed together despite David Beador’s infidelity, and the reality star said she is continuing to move past the betrayal.
“I can go days, weeks without thinking about it,” she revealed. “Unfortunately, I’m reliving all this on the show. But the thing is, if I were to think about the affair while we first started filming, I would be upset for a while. Now, it’s just a, ‘Okay, yeah,’ and then you move on.”
Beador joined “Real Housewives” in season 9, and appears on new season 10 episodes Mondays at 9 p.m. ET. Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Meghan King Edmonds and Vicki Gunvalson, who learned of her mother’s death on the July 6 episode, also star.
