LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) — Sharna Burgess is returning to “Dancing with the Stars’ Season 23 in time for the semi-finals.

The 31-year-old professional dancer will perform with partner James Hinchcliffe on the show’s Nov. 14 episode after sitting out two weeks of competition due to injury.

“The last two weeks were really tough, but certainly worth the wait and getting healthy,” Burgess told E! News in a statement. “And now I can officially say I’m back!”

“I am feeling great and so excited to be back dancing with James this week! It has been amazing to watch him deliver such great performances these past two weeks, but I am so excited to be back in for the semi-finals and take James to the finale!”

Burgess hurt her knee in October and was forced to miss the Oct. 31 and Nov. 7 episodes. She told People after the injury that she felt “pure panic” when she fell while rehearsing a group routine in the studio.

“I’ve had an ACL reconstruction on that very same knee, so I was scared to death,” the star admitted. “In that split moment, you think 1,000 things, but I got up and tried to figure it out.”

Hinchcliffe, a 29-year-old race car driver, has been partnered with Jenna Johnson in the interim. “Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
