Shooting “American Sniper”
“American Sniper” is a biographical action film directed by Clint Eastwood and written by Jason Dean Hall. It is based on Chris Kyle’s autobiography of the same name and stars Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller with Luke Grimes, Kyle Gallner, Sam Jaeger, Jack McDorman and Cory Hardrict in supporting roles.
The film tells the story of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, whose pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield and turns him into a legend. Back home with his wife and kids after four tours of duty, however, Chris finds that it is the war he can’t leave behind.

“The whole movie’s about a man who has dedicated his life to protecting others,” says Cooper. “I loved every moment of walking in his shoes.”
“It’s about a man who is torn between two responsibilities – responsibility to his country and responsibility to family,” says Eastwood. “It shows the toll war takes on you right up to the very end.”
Our film critic Tony Toscano calls “American Sniper” “one of the best war films in recent history,” with the rating of four out of four plays.
The film had its world premiere on November 11, 2014 at American Film Institute Festival.
