The clip, released Thursday, gives a closer look at Weaver’s villainous Alexandra and how she hopes to take over New York City.
“I thought it would be a good idea if we all talked this over, like adults,” Weaver says as she sits down to meet with Daredevil (Charlie Cox), his mentor Stick (Scott Glenn), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones).
“I can see you’ve formed a bond here,” she continues about the Defenders team that also features Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).
“I promise you it’s temporary. They will disappoint you and if I might give you some advice, the more connections you have, the easier it will be to break you,” she says as the heroes’ various friends and love interests are shown.
The trailer also includes plenty of action scenes as The Defenders take on groups of thugs and even each other.
“Let’s go Iron Clad,” Ritter jokingly says to Jones who attempts to correct her.
“The Defenders” arrives on Netflix starting Friday.
