WASHINGTON, July 13 (UPI) — Heavy metal band Slipknot shared a video clip from a recent concert showing frontman Corey Taylor slapping a cellphone from the hands of an inattentive fan.
The video, posted to Slipknot’s official Facebook page, shows the band performing at an unidentified venue while a fan standing in the front row appears to be texting on his cellphone.
Singer Corey Taylor approaches the oblivious fan and slaps the phone out of his hands.
The fan seems to take the incident in good humor and laughs after he realizes what just happened.
Taylor responded to critics of his actions on Twitter with an “amended statement” — a single emoji showing a hand with an up-stretched middle finger.
