LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 (UPI) — Sophia Bush recently called out a man for his “creepy” behavior on her plane ride.
The 34-year-old actress penned a scathing open letter to a passenger who made her feel “uncomfortable” on her trip and shared it with her 1.3 million Twitter followers.
“Dear Random Dude on a plane,
When you make a woman so visibly uncomfortable, that after you’ve ignored all visual cues to please leave her alone (one word answers, she pulls out a book, puts on a hat, she actually asks you to not speak to her with the tone and words you’re choosing to use) that she finally GETS UP and MOVES SEATS, leave her alone. Do not continue trying to make conversation. Stop turning around and looking at her. Stop leaning out of your seat and towards her body when she has to grab something out of the overhead bin above her original seat, and sadly also above you, mid-flight.
And in my case, stop believing that you are entitled to make me uncomfortable because you ‘watch my TV show’ so I owe you some magical debt. I make it, you watch it. After that, the ‘exchange’ is done. You do not get to harass me, or any woman, because you think you pay our bills. You don’t bro, I DO.

Bush’s post was retweeted 1,800 times and favorited by 6,200 people. Many fans voiced their support for the actress in the comments and shared their own experiences with harassment.
“@SophiaBush sorry you had to deal with that, wish some men could just have basic respect these days,” one person wrote.
“@SophiaBush sorry you had to go through this. Some men are disgusting. I used to drive a truck & older men always stared at me. It’s awful,” another added.
Bush is a noted activist who supports several causes, including the “I Am That Girl” campaign. The organization seeks to empower young women by transforming “self-doubt” into “self-love.”
“We get validated for our looks and for what we provide to people, rather than for who we are at a very young age,” the actress told The Daily Beast in 2014. “And then when women are older and filled with the same insecurity and doubt that plagues everyone, we wonder why they are more troubled by these things.”
Bush is known for playing Brooke Davis on “One Tree Hill” and presently stars as Erin Lindsay on “Chicago P.D.” She also portrayed the character on “Chicago Fire,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “Chicago Med.”
