March 16 (UPI) — Spike TV says it will air the television special “One Night Only: Alec Baldwin” on July 9.
Featuring comedy, film clips, music and personal stories about the “30 Rock and Saturday Night Live” icon, the show will be taped at Harlem’s World Famous Apollo Theater on June 25.
“Alec is an original and one of the greats. Heroic, complicated, legendary, brilliant and hilarious,” Casey Patterson, the program’s executive producer, said in a statement.
“When we spoke about this event he said, ‘You overestimate the number of friends I have,’ and I replied, ‘You underestimate the number of people that will line up to have fun at your expense.’ It will be that kind of night — love and laughs.”
“I am dreading this. I am truly dreading this. But if Tracy Morgan is coming, it’ll be OK. Is Tracy coming?” Baldwin quipped.
