NEW YORK, Sept. 17 (UPI) — Woody Allen‘s new Amazon show, Crisis in Six Scenes, premiered in New York City on Thursday night ahead of its premiere on Sept. 30.

Allen wrote, directed and starred in the series about a husband (Allen) and wife (Elaine May) whose suburban household is thrown off balance by an unexpected house guest (Miley Cyrus) in the 1960s.

Crisis is Allen’s first-ever television series and also stars Rachel Brosnahan and John Magaro, and features appearances by Sondra James, Becky Ann Baker, Joy Behar, Lewis Black, Christine Ebersole, and Michael Rappaport.

“Hopefully people will find it amusing,” Allen said about the show.
