LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 (UPI) — The “Stranger Things” cast turned on the charm at the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday.
Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin, who play Eleven, Dustin and Lucas on the Netflix series, performed “Uptown Funk” prior to the show and handed out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches during the ceremony.
Brown, 12, Matarazzo, 14, and McLaughlin sang and danced onstage to the Mark Ronson hit as the audience members took their seats. Vulture was among those to share clips online after capturing the moment on video.
Emmys host Jimmy Kimmel later introduced the trio after showing his mom making PB&J sandwiches for the audience. Brown, Matarazzo and McLaughlin then emerged in their Stranger Things costumes to distribute the snacks on their bikes.
“The best part about the ride [is] meeting everyone that just loves the show because they’re all super great to us,” Matarazzo told E! News prior to the ceremony. “The fans have been the best part of this ride.”
“It’s incredible [to be here],” Brown added. “I’ve been watching E! and everything for such a long time now and to actually be here… it’s amazing.”
“Stranger Things” wasn’t nominated for any awards, but was renewed last month for a second season.
The series co-stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Finn Wolfhard and will return to Netflix in 2017.
