“We’ve lost a family member. We’re still taking it in,” said Bono, in a statement posted on U2’s website.
The group is in Los Angeles where it has just started a five day stand at The Forum in the North American leg of its Innocence + Experience Tour.
Sheehan, who was in his 60’s, had worked with U2 for more than 30 years.
Paramedics were called to L.A.’s Sunset Marquis Hotel around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they reached Sheehan’s room he was in full cardiac arrest.
