SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – October 4, 2015 –(GEPHARDT DAILY) — In theaters this week is the true story of Chris Williams who, after surviving a drunk driving accident that killed his pregnant wife and two kids, struggles to come to terms with the young man who caused it.

The film stars Henry Ian Cusick (“Lost” and “The 100”), Oscar nominee Brenda Vacarro and Sam Sorbo (“Avenging Angel” and “Andromeda”).

“Just Let Go” was produced and shot in Salt Lake City and is being distributed through Excel Entertainment, Number 7 Entertainment and Propel Pictures.

Recently, I had the privilege to gather some of the cast and filmmakers to discuss the film, the production, “faith-based” movies and forgiveness. Sitting in on the conversation were the film’s stars Henry Ian Cusick, Sam Sorbo, producer Dan LaPray and Chris Williams, the man on whom the story is based.

The interview took place at the Del Mar Al Lago Restaurant in Salt Lake City, to whom we owe a special ‘thank you’ for their hospitality.

During the conversation I asked Ian Cusick “what he learned from portraying Chris Williams?”

He responded, “That’s the question I ask myself all the time. I played Chris and I knew he forgave. But if I were ever in a position like that… because you never know until you are there… could you? But I kind of hope that this has given me an insight into the possibility that I could.”

“The film is receiving terrific responses from audiences who have seen it,” said producer Dan LePray.

“With the theme of ‘forgiveness’ as the centerpiece of the movie, we have reached out to the Desmond Tutu Foundation for Forgiveness and are inviting our audience to a 7-day forgiveness challenge.
