HOLLYWOOD, March 13, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — In a series of exclusive interviews, Gephardt Daily’s film reviewer and entertainment editor Tony Toscano sat with the cast of the upcoming film “The Divergent Series: Allegiant,” set to open March 18.

Sitting with Zoe Kravitz (Christina) and Miles Teller (Peter), Toscano discussed the techniques of acting for CGI.

Kravitz said “There’s so much trust involved. You have to do something and hope the guys doing the CGI are going to make it look right after. You have to really believe the world you are in.”

Miles Teller added, “I think as actors we’re kind of spoiled. Because by the time we get involved, they’ve figured everything out.”

Octavia Spencer, who won an Oscar for her supporting role in “The Help,” and two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts, discussed the changes in their characters over the series.

“The difference about dividing into different factions is that we aren’t really seen as a person with 1 trait or characteristic. I would like to think I have a few of those,” Spencer said.

Watts added, “Certainly for me, the appeal was this female character who is definitely more than 1 color, which we are in real life.”

Theo James, who has played “Four” in all three films, is excited about the arc his character is taking.

“You need to look harder when you’ve already played a character twice in movies to find new things. I think he is a little steadier than he was in the other movies. He’s able to take the mantle of a leader a little bit more.”

Shailene Woodley, who plays Tris, is the centerpiece of the “Divergent Series” chatted about the relationship between Four and Tris.

“They do argue. I think in the last movie (“Insurgent”) you see them argue as well. I think it’s nice we get to explore that side of their relationship, simply because most relationships function within the messiness and the beauty, right?”

Woodley added, “There’s always the downfalls and the disagreements and the triumphs and celebrations.”
