A Tall Elf’s Christmas
If you have been counting down till Christmas like me and my family have been then you know that there are only three more days until we get to open presents, eat lots of food, spend time with family and friends and more importantly watch amazing Christmas movies.
Our number three Christmas movie for this Christmas time countdown is Elf. Christmas carols in the bathroom, snow ball fights and syrup on everything? Yes that is what this tall elf loves to do. As well as try and find his father whom he has never met.
Will Ferrell stars as Buddy, a human raised as one of Santa’s elves who discovers, at the age of thirty that his real father is named Walter (James Caan) who lives in New York City and is also on Santa’s “naughty list. So Buddy leaves the North Pole, knowing only what he has learned from the other elves, to go and find Walter.

Walter is an in trouble publisher because he has to find a successful new children’s story by Christmas Eve. At first, he doesn’t believe that Buddy is his son, until after the DNA test comes back positive. Then Walter reluctantly brings him home to meet his wife (Mary Steenburgen) and son. Meanwhile when Buddy stops by the Santa display at Gimbel’s he meets pretty Jovie (Zooey Deschanel).
On his way to saving the day and ensuring a happy ending for everyone from the North Pole to NYC, Buddy gets many chances to do silly things as he experiences New York City and gets to know Jovie and his family.
So take the time and watch this loveable elf as he finds his father and shows him the true meaning of Christmas.
