“The Golden Girls” LEGO set needs votes to become a reality
BILLUND, Denmark, April 8 (UPI) — A LEGO set featuring characters for the NBC sitcom “The Golen Girls” is votes away from becoming a reality.
Featuring the show’s main characters Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, Sophia, and Stan and their iconic living room and kitchen, the set was submitted to the LEGO Ideas program on March 18 and has garnered more than half the votes it needs (10,000) for the project to be reviewed by the company and potentially built.
The set has received 6776 votes of support thus far and has 343 days left to reach 10,000.
“The Golden Girls,” a show about four older women who share a home in Miami, Fla., aired from 1985 to 1992 starring Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty.
The LEGO Ideas program allows users to pitch proposals for new LEGO sets featuring figurines created by fans. Once the products are reviewed by the company and approved, the member who created the project is entitled to receive a percentage from its sales.
