LOS ANGELES , April 78 (UPI) — Trent Harmon was crowned the final winner of FOX’s “American Idol” in Los Angeles Thursday night.
“I worked so hard. I worked so hard,” Harmon said, crying and hugging runner-up La’Porsha Renae. “I know that I have a God-given ability, but I didn’t want to take it for granted. I wanted to work so, so hard and she pushed me to do it.”
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest and featuring Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban as judges, the singing competition series ended with Harmon singing the song “Falling.”
The network announced last year this 15th season would be its last.
