LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5 (UPI) — Netflix is teasing new details about the second season of its breakout hit “Stranger Things.”
The streaming service tweeted an upside-down, black-and-white photo of the child and teen stars who will return for Season 2, along with the message: “back in production. see you next year. #strangerthings.”

Pictured were Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery, as well as newcomers Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery.
It is unclear whether Season 1 veterans Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Matthew Modine will return because they were not in the photo.
Netflix announced in August it ordered a second season of the beloved sci-fi series, but did not confirm until now who would be in it.
The nine, fresh episodes are scheduled to debut in 2017. The story will take place in the fall of 1984.
Writer-creators Matt and Ross Duffer are back to helm the sophomore edition, but no plot details have been officially revealed yet.
The streaming service described the 1983-set, first season — which focused on the disappearance of a young boy and his friends’ and family’s efforts to save him — as “a love letter to the supernatural classics of the ’80s.”
