HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Feb. 16, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — Just when you thought it was safe, Universal has announced “Kindergarten Cop 2,” starring Dolph Lundgren.

“Kindergarten Cop 2” is the sequel to the 1990 comedy film “Kindergarten Cop” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“In this exciting reboot, we introduce a unique blend of humor and action to the next generation of viewers, as well as share a re-imagined version of the story with longtime fans who have made this an enduring family favorite,” Universal 1440 Entertainment EVP Glenn Ross previously said in a statement.

The film will be released directly to DVD and Blu-ray on May 17.

  1. Looks good. I love comedies with kids vs adults. Kids are amazing with their expressions and you never know what can happen. That instant you turn around something incredible happens. I am hoping that the director had camera’s all over the room to capture ever aspect of what those kids can get into. I love Dolph Lundgren in everything he does. It is nice of him to chose to work with the kids, showing his versatility. This director Don Michael Paul has done previous sequels that had done quite well. I don’t see why this one won’t do the same. I know everyone is missing Arnold in this one, but in 26 years, he could have done the remake. Just saying….
