LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – September 29,2015 (UPI) — Fox unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming “X-Files” revival series Monday.

In true “X-Files” fashion the new trailer came with a twist as the first part aired during “Gotham” while the second part appeared alongside “Minority Report.”

The first spot featured FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder played by David Duchovny reminiscing on the past and deciding if he should continue on his quest for the truth.

“In 2002, my investigation ceased, but my personal obsession did not,” Mulder says in the trailer’s opening voice-over. “Our work is key to everything. I can’t do this alone.”

As Mulder kicks around his iconic “I Want To Believe” UFO poster, he gives his loyal partner, FBI Special Agent Dana Scully played by Gillian Anderson, a call.

The second half continues right where the first one left off with the two main characters teaming up once again to uncover a new mystery that may involve a possible dead alien, seen in the new footage, being carried away by authorities.
